UMass iCons is pleased to host Dr. Woody Sherman, Chief Science Officer for Silicon Therapeutics, to run the Fall 2019 Integrative Science Workshop entitled, "Mission Impossible: Designing Drugs for Challenging Targets". Silicon Therapeutics, an innovative company in this space, is headquartered in both Boston, MA and Suzhou, China.
Dr. Sherman will run an iCons-like case study on drug design: sharing information on public health and biochemistry aspects of the problem, challenging students to come up with novel solutions, and then sharing the Silicon Therapeutics solution strategy. It will be a fascinating evening of interdisciplinary science in service of solving a real-world problem.
The entire UMass community is invited to this event on November 6, 2019, from 6pm-8pm, located in the Integrative Learning Center, Room S131.
