The iCons program is a certificate program in interdisciplinary science and engineering open to first and second-year students in business, public policy, and those with science-intensive majors, such as those in the College of Natural Sciences, the College of Engineering, the College of Information and Computer Sciences, the School of Nursing, the School of Public Health and Health Sciences, and the Bachelor's Degree with Individual Concentration. iCons accepts 72 new students per cohort, which includes first and second-year students, and keeps a wait-list of applicants. Admission decisions are based primarily on answers to the essay questions on the application. Applicants may be asked to participate in a phone interview with a member of the volunteer recruitment committee.
