Summer 2020 Job Opportunity for iCons Students

iCons students who have completed iCons 2 or iCons 3 are eligible to apply for a funded iCons educational internship for summer 2020. The iCons Program is developing new curriculum for the iCons 3 course in the Biomedicine track - one specifically built by and for the iCons students.

Come join the student development team, whose collective responsibility will be to describe the range and scope of problems/projects that the discovery lab experience in i3b can support. Students will work in a small team (2-3 students) to outline a set of “iCons 3 Case Studies,” including a biomedicine problem area, the science or technology needed to address a given problem, the skills, methods and laboratory resources required to perform the research, and expectations for how future iCons students will communicate about their work on these and similar projects of their own design.

Applications are open now and application reviews will begin on Friday, May 29, 2020. Apply today!

Compensation will be hourly, approximately $13/hr in keeping with other UMass undergraduate student research jobs. Participation can be 20- to 40- hrs/week depending on your availability. The project will run from June 8 until August 21, with the expectation that each participant will have some vacation time in that span.
