Executive Summary 

Our research question, what demographic factors impact the public perception of nuclear energy and how? Our hypothesis is that the following factors will increase approval of nuclear energy:

  1. A higher level of understanding about nuclear energy (educational background)
  2. Younger age
  3. Learning about nuclear energy in school/classes
