Event Details

All iCons instructors and affiliated instructors are invited to an upcoming faculty development workshop:

The Hidden Curriculum in iCons
In this workshop, we will explore the notion of the hidden curriculum in the iCons program. We will explore our own syllabi, course materials, and classroom practices for the signals we may or may not send to our students. Further, we will examine how the iCons recruitment and application process can amplify and deliver the signals necessary to recruit a diverse group of scholars. This will be a valuable moment to draw on all of the faculty’s experiences with iCons students to share ideas toward a more inclusive program. The context of the workshop will focus on STEM teaching, however, the framework, ideas, and pedagogies we will work with are not STEM specifically. They can be used in any classroom/discipline.

Tuesday, December 14, 2021 | 10:00 - 11:30 am EST | Online
Participation is limited to iCons instructors and affiliated instructors
