Joe McGaunn is a current Research Associate studying the mechanism of action of novel cancer therapeutics in the Meyerson Lab at the Broad Institute (Cambridge, MA), who is currently applying to MD-PhD programs. While not in the lab, Joe can be found working on starting up a science podcast, volunteering in hospice care, going for walks in the woods, or zooming with friends and family. Come join the inaugural coffee hour to chat a bit with Joe about anything related to his current job, how he got there, what his favorite type of tea is, or literally anything else!
iCAN is a group of UMass iCons Program alumni that aims to foster and maintain a powerful sense of community among the alumni of iCons.
