Executive Summary

I use molecular dynamics simulations to study potential materials for proton exchange membranes in hydrogen fuel cells. To do so, I utilize both atomic and coarse-grain simulations to study hydrogen bonding capabilities of these materials. Our goal is to find a material suitable to replace water in fuel cell membranes, allowing more efficient operation at higher temperatures and a less expensive catalyst.
