The UMass Amherst iCons program prepares our best undergraduates to be problem solvers, leaders and innovators in science and technology.

The iCons program positions students for high achievement in graduate school and in their careers. Roughly 50% of our graduates have gone directly into careers in research and industry, 35% have entered graduate school directly (PhD, MA, MS, and JD programs), and 15% are in medical school.

iCAN (iCons Alumni Network)

A group of UMass iCons Program alumni officially launched the iCAN organization in the summer of 2016. This international network aims to foster and maintain a powerful sense of community among the alumni of iCons. Their mission: "We believe that we can carry the collaborative spirit of the program out into the world, and by doing so, improve both it and ourselves." The iCAN website was launched in June 2017 to provide an information source for iCons graduates and others seeking information about what iCAN has accomplished.
