You are invited to join iCons for an upcoming faculty development workshop:

The Hidden Curriculum
The Hidden Curriculum is the “unwritten, unofficial, and often unintended lessons, values, and perspectives made by individuals and found in physical spaces within an academic environment” (Villanueva, 2018). In this workshop, we will explore the notion of the hidden curriculum in STEM spaces and classrooms. Then, drawing from our own practices, course materials, and messaging, we will examine how we might disrupt the hidden curriculum in the service of equity and belonging in our classrooms. The context of the workshop will focus on STEM teaching, however, the framework, ideas, and pedagogies we will work with are not STEM specifically. They can be used in any classroom/discipline.
