Margaret Dreishpoon ’20

Margaret, currently a third-year PhD student at Harvard Medical School (spring 2025), is advancing cancer research by exploring cellular metabolism and kinase signaling. She credits the UMass iCons Program with shaping her interdisciplinary, team-based approach to science. Margaret remains actively engaged with iCons, mentoring students, supporting admissions, and contributing to events like the Idea Slam. Her advisor notes she has deepened her research by forging new lab collaborations—an embodiment of the iCons spirit in action.
